Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> Oracle Management Server service missing
Hi,
Windows XP SP2, Oracle 9i Release 2 (9.2.0.1.0), networked machine.
I've installed Oracle 9i Release 2 Enterprise Edition, but the Oracle Management Server service (OMS) is missing from the Windows services.
I've checked the installed products using Universal Installer and Oracle Management Server 9.2.0.1.0 is listed as installed under Oracle Homes -> OraHome92 -> Oracle 9i Database -> Oracle Enterprise Manager Products. Its location is E:\oracle\ora92\sysman.
The Oracle Windows services present are:
OracleMTSRecoveryService, Started
OracleOraHome92Agent, Started
OracleOraHome92ClientCache
OracleOraHome92HTTPServer, Start
OracleOraHome92PagingServer
OracleOraHome92SNMPPeerEncapsulator
OracleOraHome92NMPPeerMasterAgent
OracleOraHome92TNSListener, Started
OracleServiceORA, Started
All the above services are set to Manual. The ones shown as Started were originally set to Automatic by the installation, but I changed them to Manual and start them via a script when required.
Why is the expected OracleOraHome92ManagementServer service missing?
Thanks for any help or info on this. Received on Tue Aug 16 2005 - 10:43:12 CDT
