CAUTION! The following story contains descriptions of extreme system violence. Parental guidence is recommended.
The server and it's backup are both toast. SERVER AND STORAGE ADMIN WERE NOT MAKING SYSTEM BACKUPS! A backup server with the app and database already installed (simply requiring the app be fired up - it would request a data refresh from the mainframe) was also wiped clean when the SA started monkeying with the SAN. The primary server is still reporting disk problems in the Windows event log. A complete reinstallation will be required if and when we get a stable server.
