I'd go for 9.2.0.4, even if you want to go to 06 later. On Linux there's a relinking problem (ins_oemagent.mk) that should be resolved.
By applying the correct set of patches to 04, your migration to06 is OK.

Realize this does not apply to AIX, but other issues may. And 9.2.0.4 was stable!
