Creating Materialized Views

Hi,

We recently upgraded from Oracle 8i to Oracle 9i. We have two databases:- standby (instance name cmpx) and the reports instance name (reports)

Standby database is running in read only mode(a copy of the production database). Archive logs are applied daily in the night

Reports database is running in read-write mode. We can access the tables (do a select on the tables in standby dataabse) using a database link named rept1

When we try to create any materialized view on the tables in the standby database using the database link, we get ORA-04063: view "username.viewname" has errors.
