Hi Mike.

shared servers for SE just to get VPN working ... is most unfortunate in attempting to retrofit an existing installation, as all connections that don't explicitly request a dedicated server connection will get a shared server connection ... which you probably already knew.

All the more reason for deploying a more detailed tnsnames.ora file than the default ... or not deploying one at all :)
