There are two ballots submitted to the next SQL Standard meeting requesting the SQL Standard group to disolve(!). To be honest, I'm worried about big ticket items in SQL. (e.g. a floating point Number datatype that has support in C, Java, SQL and the Hardware; completing MERGE, SQLXML, ....) An EXCLUDE clause for SELECT * woudl be .. nice-to-have at best.

I am pleased to find users who care about the SQL Standard, even though I don't quite share the same priorities. Perhaps the powers to be take note. If there are more horses committed to the effort lower priority items can be addressed....
