(2) Performance Planning Guide -

It's a new one introduced with 9i. Clears a lot of basics and introduces to the generic performance "engineering".

(3) Performance Tuning Guide --

This one is more Oracle specific.

Some good net resources have already been mentioned here. If you really need a book - go for "Expert One-on-One" by Tom Kyte (a little bit on the development side); Practical Oracle 8i by Jonathan Lewis (tilting towards architect / administrator side). Received on Wed Feb 23 2005 - 16:58:52 CST
