The main advantage of using a public synonym on all tables is that it
frees developers from having to list the owner every time they
reference an object in their code.



If you have adhoc query tools that are used by the end-user then
depending on the tool it may make writing queries simplier for the
end-user.



Sybrand listed the drawbacks.
