No, I conducted an informal TPC-H benchmark, and contacted the TPC about a
problem with the test data generator program (TPC provides all the schemas,
test data program, and queries for the benchmarks on their website). The TPC
referred me to Meikel Poess who was the lead technical person on a TPC
committee who could assist me with the problem I was having with test data
generator program.
I exchanged about 10 emails with Meikel about 18 months ago in an attempt to get the problem resolved.
The point that I was making is that Oracle is heavily involved in the TPC, and supplied senior technical staff to assist their committees. So I really don't understand why Daniel Morgan claims that the TPC organization is controlled by the mafia, and that it extorts vendors such as Oracle into paying them, and that the benchmarks are completely irrelevant, when in fact, Oracle is such a strong supporter of the TPC non-profit organization.
