it's Compaq Storage Works RAID Array 4000 with FC interconnect

please excuse my poor English. Of course, I meant archive log destination...

Yes, I understand that it would be better for recovery. But I am afraid that writing (and then deleting) a huge amount of files on OCFS drive will affect negatively on the perfomance.

And another thing that is unclear for me - if it is an OCFS drive, then which?
(we have two OCFS drives - one for OracleHome and another for DB files. They differ in the allocation unit size - it is small on the first and big on the second).
