I've done this many times, though not on server OS's, only NT, W2K and XP. I work in my company's education unit, we frequently have need to 'clone' systems which include Oracle server. I use sysprep only when the hardware is changed then Ghost to copy systems.

Oracle is sensitive to the hostname but not the domain ID. If you sysprep then keep the name the same there should be no problem. In cases where I need to change the name (load dozens of clones) I use localhost for the hostname for Oracle. I then can change the hostname without breaking Oracle.

HTH,
Randy
