Not enough information. What is this defragmentation script ? what
precisely are you trying to achieve ? I am suspicous that you are
talking about table and index reorgs. If you are then most of the group
is going to tell you how its a complete waste of time.

what does this mean ?? makes no sense to me. What process are you talking about ? some constraint / trigger which prevents you from entering data ?
