Are you talking production or test/development? I set up 9.2.0 on Red Hat 9 to do relatively simple client work from windows on my home network. I'm both a Linux and oracle admin novice but things went pretty well from the instruction given on several WWW pages found through google. Most notably http://www.puschitz.com/InstallingOracle9i.html. One critical area (of many) that I still don't understand (not yet, but I'm still working at it) is what choices to make, and why to make them, in a non-DNS enabled "home" network.
