Remember I said "The rest is as it is on all other platforms" ?
I did not intend to give a backup and recovery course, so the BACKUP command
is all that's different on VMS.
Of course, one must place the tablespaces in backup mode first, make backup copies of the control file and backup those onto tape, etc.
The OP only asked about VMS gotchas.
You're all excused...
