Read? Isn't that just a file mode?

To be safe, just open you file in write then dump stuff in ... it really doesn't matter what 'cause if there's enough of it, being overwhelmed, no one will notice anyway. That way you never have to read.

Unless you are referring to development techniques. In which case the industry standard lately is 'find someone who has prototyped something similar to your perceived requirement and use that as a template or pattern'. Reading such should be limited to code examples and patterns - anything more takes up precious time that should be devoted to the previously described 'write mode'.

Manuals have been repurposed .... In preparation for space travel, physical reference manuals are available only to ensure shelves don't float away. Softcopy reference manuals are now a developer-accessible variant to the old 'system slack space' formerly only available to sys admins.
