I take it you mean Anjo Kolk. Why would I put a reference to him in? I never
used any of his material.
Steve Adams is someone I consider a friend. But why would I put a reference
to him in? I never used any of his material either.
I've never heard of any of the others.
What is it you are asking me to do? Reference them, in the sense of "I refer you to this book of theirs, page XXX, where you may see the arguments for position Y explained at length"?
I would do if I'd ever made reference to any of their material. But I didn't.
Or are you saying I should somehow generically acknowledge them as being other sources of good Oracle-related information? Which is what I happily do elsewhere on the Dizwell site (check out the links page), but is not appropriate in a topic-specific book such as the 9i New Features one, I think.
> Do you know what's the irony! I always thought your book is quite GOOD
I am missing the irony.
Listen: you made a comment about my e-book. If you were serious about that, can you explain to me what precisely you were getting at, because I'm more than happy to correct it if I am wrong, or put in something that you say should have been there if it's appropriate to do it.
But you need to explain, precisely, what you were referring to when you wrote "Check his e-book: no refs at all!"
If you weren't being terribly serious about it, but merely narked that I don't have such a high opinion of your tuning tool as you think I should have, maybe you could let me know that too, so I can stop worrying about what exactly I should have done but have failed to do.
Regards
HJR
