the method which was successful for me, was to install the 10.1.0.2.0 oui into the 9.2 home. quit. restart the oui that shipped with the patch and then install 9.2.0.5.0. Yes, it makes sense that you would use the installer that you installed as the oui, but superstition told me to use the oui that shipped with the patchset. Why then, install oui into the 9.2 home and then not use it?
Beats me, that is the way that worked.
Its oui. I don't care if I have to rename a jvm dll or install while
standing on one foot hopping up and down, whatever works.
That doesn't exactly reduce the number of myths out there, but gets the patchset loaded and I get to move on.
