RLS (or VPD) was an Oracle8i feature. Trusted Oracle was last supported on Oracle7, and was a seperate version of the product, rather than an add on. It also required a trusted version of the operating system

To the OP, yes, RLS (VPD) is supported in 8.1.6, but is an Enterprise Edition feature. Received on Tue Mar 16 2004 - 21:19:22 CST
