Hi,

We have a project which requires synchronisation between Oracle 9i Lite "client databases" running on in-car PCs, and an Oracle 9i database on a central server. The synchronisation between these databases will be over a wireless link.

I'm considering using Oracle 9i mobile sever / webtogo to do the synchronisation, but some colleagues of mine had some difficulty with webtogo synchronisation in the past.

We are also concerned about the "black box" nature of a bought solution, as if we invest heavily in any synchronisation product and it doesn't work, then we have a major problem. Our other alternative as far as I can see is to write our own synchronisation engine, which may be difficult but not impossible.

I was wondering is anyone actually using mobile server / webtotgo for database synchronisation? Any good or bad experiences out there?

Thanks in advance,
