OCFS and standby-redo-log

Group,

Working on a rac + standby-db construction on Linux: RHAS2.1 2.4.9-e.25enterprise,
ORA-9.2.0.3 (will patch 0.4 soon ;-)
OCFS 1.0.9 (about to deploy).

Question, Just checking:
Will OCFS support standby-redo
and archived standby reodlogs ?

From various OCFS information, mostly metalink and FAQ, I know OCFS supports these, and only these, files :
- quorum-disk-file used by oracm

Now I want to place two more types of files on OCFS:
- standby redo logfiles (used by stdby database, RFS-process).

Question: Does OCFS support these file-types ? (it better ....) Experience Anyone ?

From previous OCFS experience
I know that even a single
init.ora will not behave well on OCFS.
I'm carefull to stay within
the limits of OCFS.
Hence the question ;-)

Regards,

PdV

NB: I will not stop proclaiming:
1. RAC deploment can only be done on a CFS. 2. The CFS should be able to hold _All Files_, not just oracle-files. Received on Wed Aug 20 2003 - 03:04:26 CDT
