As I recall the situation (it was about 2 years ago) we had a problem with M$Acess and an Oracle ODBC driver. Problem was traced to MDAC. Fix was -- apply upgrade to IE. What the H*** does a browser have to do with MDAC?? But there it was. And when we applied the IE update, Task Scheduler broke. The more I see of Windows, the more I like Unix. And I learned Windows before Unix, so I'm not coming to Windows from the position of a Unix bigot.
