You must be connecting to the w2k box using Microsux Terminal Server. Microsux Terminal Server is the *ONLY* product on which the BEQ protocol which for this function is necessary doesn't work. Hence Oracle doesn't plan to fix this problem. You can only get the listener running by starting and stopping the ser vice or by running the lsnrctl program on the box directly.
