Look at the TAR again :-) (and apologies to the rest of c.d.o.s who can't).

The initial response mentioned a bug with AUM, and the work-around was to set freelists, I queried this since AFAIK freelists are pretty much irrelevent when using ASSM. The analyst then said that is is "quiet possible" that the bug is a side-effect of ASSM. It all seems a little confused.

If anybody's got any idea why freelists might affect an ASSM tablespace I'd be interested to hear it.
