I had the same problem but i've solved it by changing the directories names for the 3 disks of oracle.

The directories name must not contain any space character

so if you was using :

c:\Documents and settins\Disk1
c:\Documents and settins\Disk2
c:\Documents and settins\Disk3

=> it will not work

you have to use for example

c:\Disk1
c:\Disk2
c:\Disk3
