Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> Editing the SNMP_RO.ora file
I am thinking about editing the snmp_ro.ora file, even though you are
not supposed to. I think I did edit it a while back, not knowing you
are not supposed to touch it.
I have a database that no longer exists appearing in that file and I am getting errors in my nmi.log and I am thinking this might help resolve it.
There IS an entry for this obsolete database in the snmp_rw.ora.
There IS NOT entry for this database in the TNSNAMES.ora or LISTENER.ORA Error from nmi.log (the old database was called TEST)
VERSION INFORMATION:
TNS for 32-bit Windows: Version 8.1.7.0.0 - Production Oracle Bequeath NT Protocol Adapter for 32-bit Windows: Version 8.1.7.0.0 - Production Windows NT TCP/IP NT Protocol Adapter for 32-bit Windows: Version8.1.7.0.0 - Production
The errors in the listener.log are:
16-JUL-2003 10:19:20 *
(CONNECT_DATA=(SID=WDEV)(SERVER=DEDICATED)(CID=(PROGRAM=e:\bin\cfserver.exe)(HOST=SCPS-AW-PROD)(USER=SYSTEM)))
* (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=10.1.40.85)(PORT=1476)) * establish *
WDEV * 0
Thanks for any advice,
Roger
