Listener will not run!!!

Hi there,
I have the following problem:
(I run Oracle 8i on a 2000 Server)

I had a running Oracle Database, then, someone changed the IP-Address of the server. After that, I get a Listener Timeout. But I can connect via sqlplus.

So I removed the existing Listener, stopped the service for that. Then I tried to install a new Listener, with the Net8 Configuration Assistant. When I come to the point, where I can start the server, it tells me, that something from Oracle is running and using (I guess the port). But I can't see anything.

Can anybody help me with this?
