Security question

Dear Newsgroup,

Is it possible to define a view, such that the data returned is dependent of security settings?

e.g.: if a user has some role activated, then the view should return 7 columns, else only 6 columns.
or: the view should return some extra rows if a role is activated.

We use Oracle 8.1.7
