Hi.

We applied the patchset on top of Oracle 9.2.0.2 without any issues on AIX 4.3.3 and AIX 5.1 (5L).
So far testing being carried out by the developers/DBAs (one week only) has not found any new issues with this patchset.

But we made sure that we had applied the latest security patches at the time (which are bundled in Oracle 9.2.0.3 anyway) and installed OUI 2.2.0.16.0 because of the possibility of corrupting the OraInventory before we decided to goto the later patchset.

If you plan to upgrade from AIX 4.3.3 to AIX 5.1 you need to re-install Oracle 9.2 and apply the patchsets because the version of Oracle 9.2 for AIX 4.3.3 is not compatible with AIX 5.1. This is not an issue if you are running Oracle 8.1.7.4.

HTH Roger.
