Seems to me that Oracle would need access to the version that needs to be certified before Oracle would comment on whether it is, or is not, certified. A few counter-questions here:
You ask for opinions, not facts (in this case, only Oracle can give the
facts). So my comments echo those of others ... 8i & 9iR1 are unlikely,
9iR2 (9.2) is possible.
