The convention in every other newsgroup I have participated in is to respond below what you are responding to. Not necessarily at the end of the message, but rather to insert your comments immediately below what you are commenting on, on a point by point basis. And also to delete the irrelevencies, rather than keeping them intact. I've never seen top-posting as the recommended way of posting, and this is a rare group to tolerate it. Most places a top-poster it flamed or ignored.
