I think the OP was about 8.0.6 software rather than 8.0.6 database. As
pointed out in another post (duplicate of this thread), you end up with
*two* oracle homes. Forms 6i is 8.0.6 home (in 806\bin); Oracle 8i is
8.1.7 home (in ora81\bin). You use the 'Oracle Home Selector' (off your
Start / Programs / Oracle menu ... but mine is so modified, I don't know
where it is by default).
