I have yet to try an install with Win2K SP3. I have done all of my installs so far on SP2. I have not yet heard of any issues of this kind with SP3 so maybe you're breaking new ground here. If you have a fast internet connection (I'm assuming you do based on what you've said), I would try downloading the Oracle software again. Also, what CD burning software are you using and what settings are you using to burn the CDs? A common thread running through all of this is your statement about downloading the software, burning the CDs and then going from there, i.e., installing from the CD, copying the CD to the hard drive, etc. Just a thought.
