tilde ~ in index, how to handle

Hey Newsgroup,

i would like to change the storage parameter for an index like abc~0, but if i try to do so:

alter index abc~0 storage (maxextents 300);

    invalid character

...................."abc~0" .................

    index not found

....................'abc~0'

What have I to do ????
