Oracle 8.1.5: exp yields "OR

Hi,

when I export from my Oracle 8.1.5 Server on WinNT 4.0, I get the following message:

. exporting synonyms

EXP-00008: ORACLE error 904 encountered
ORA-00904: invalid column name
EXP-00000: Export terminated unsuccessfully

.. why is this and how to mend ???? Please help, this is causing delay in a project :( :(
