Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> using (NT & W2K) networkdrives with oracle as log_archive_dest
Hi all,
is it possible to use mapped (highspeed) networkdrives for duplexing, mirroring log archive files on different network-destinations (or for multiplexing the online redo log files)? We are using archivelogmode and want to copy the archive log files automaticly with e.g. "log_archive_dest_2 = "location=*NETWORKDRIVE*:\archive",
ORA-09291 sksachk: invalid device specified for archive destination and OSD 4018 Unable to access the specified directory or device, also when I try to use it for multiplexing the online redo log files an -->
ORA-00301 error in adding log file 'string' - file cannot be created, occurs
is it generally not possible with oracle on w2k, or I`m to stupid :-)
thks for help
Axel
ps. we using Oracle 8.1.7 on W2K-Server with SP2 log_archive_dest_% with a standby-service is working correct Received on Mon Nov 26 2001 - 05:38:30 CST
