8i or 9i on Win XP (Professional)

Has anyone installed 8i or 9i on XP. I see on Metalink that they will only support on XP professional (Not Home Edition), but i notice it is not yet certified. So before I give it a whirl, I was wondering if anyone has any hints/suggestions/experience.

I have recently rebuilt my machine from a formatted disk with XP, so the idea of installing on an earlier version of Windows, and then upgrading windows does not really appeal. Any experiences of installing from a new clean instal of XP would be appreciated.
