Thanks guys - I know like 3 people in my country who can do this - one of them is me - this is pretty cool because I ask big bucks for this but after 2 days of hacking away in escape codes you wished you didn't accept the job :-)

I've done lots of migration of exotic terminals from 3.0 to 4.5... I just found out there's a tool called
otx which converts forms3.0 *.r resource files to 4.5 *.res files (but knowing Oracle I'm sure it doesn't work like I want to)  ... I think I'm going to use this...
Then resprint to ascii dump using 4.5 tools - then resprint the vt220 res file that comes with forms6i - check the difference and start hacking away ... then I'll resparse and use otgen to generate... The cool part is that forms character based only knows one error message - 'unable to initialise toolkit' and that's where the fun kicks in :-) - as always... Oracle support doesn't have a clue (6i that's web-based right ?)

Anyway thanks for the support !
