Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> How do you install Forms 6.0 on a pc?
here is one for you dba's:
I am in the process of getting my OCP Application Developer Cert (will write exam 2, PL/SQL in two weeks). I had an acquaintance install Oracle Forms 6.0 on my stand alone PC. It works great and I am learning a lot. However, as I gain experience and do sample projects for people by creating forms for them I need to have the know how to install Forms on different operating systems, ie Windows 98(which is what I have now), NT, etc. I am assuming that there is some sort of documentation that I can follow along w/ to do this? I had a heck of a time trying to install Oracle8 and Forms. I was eventually told to install Forms first into a separate directory then install Oracle8. I am not even 100% sure that is how it was done. Anyway if I go to client sites, even for free, I believe I will need to know how to do this as the people I am considering for sample projects won't have Oracle installed. Also, I am aware that Oracle can't be installed on WindowsME. Thanks for any input.
