Re: 8.0.5 to 8.1.7 migration?

Don't install on top of. Install along side of or get rid of the 8.0.5 altogether. By the way if you're upgrading to 8.1.7.2 on Solaris there are a few unusual steps you need to take. Get the readme files for the patch on technet.
