We are looking at installing an application that will use 8.1.7 database.



The network admin is looking at purchasing a Compaq enterprise class server
that will run on 2000 server or 2000 advanced server with up to 8
processors.



Is there a limitation for Oracle on 2000 on the number of processors?



As well, can Oracle 8.1.7 or 9i now utilize the 64 bit architecture of the
upcoming Itanium chip?
