OK, thanks a lot. But is this really an option in real life ? That you only have the reporting database open some hours, and then close it, apply some new archived logs, close it and then open it again for reporting. This must mean that the users must be aware that between the time X and Y you can access the database.
I have no real experience with questions like this, so I am sorry if these are "stupid questions" from my side.
