Not so sure about the libc2.2 suggestion, given all the kerfuffle on the oracle discussion boards about Oracle relinking against wrong library versions.
From memory, Oracle is most comfortable with libc 2.1.3 (RedHat 6.2).
It never hurts to have lots of memory (it costs next to nothing at the moment anyway) and a big swap space.
I'd be pretty worried about running on 128MB of RAM though.
