there is no "custom" option for Oracle 9iAS (versions 1.0.2.0 and 1.0.2.1 for HP-UX)

the 9i ApplicationServer suite is marketed as a complete integrated solution. and it is apparent that the java gui installer is a key component of the inte-me-gration.
