  2. Read the documentation. But basically, you create a database under 8.1.6, and import the 7.3.4 export into it. You don't need to bother with the migrate tool with this route. The export is basically the SQL to create the schemas and data (and the information to make the tablespaces, which I advise you do yourself before the import).

It can take anything from an hour or two to a couple of days depending on how large the database is...
