Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> OCP Exams for experienced database professionals?
I have been working with Oracle for probably 3 years professionally. Others include, Sybase for 3 years, Informix for 8 months, DB2 for 3 months and SQL Server for a few months as well, but I have been doing much data architecture and system design as well as implementation, SQL, performance tuning, ETL creation, stored procedure creation, ..., but what is lacking is hardcore administration experience, although I have designed and implemented a few production databases. Would the OCP round this out for me or would I be wasting my time?
I guess I'm suffering from the consultant disease of which, I play alot with databases, but my butt hasn't been on the line for actually administering a mission critical database at 3am when the business is about to lose money and I want to do some of that.
