Oracle server 8.1.7.1 patch set

Several recent Net8 security alerts only have patch on 8.1.7.1, so I am
thinking to  upgrade my 8.1.7.0 databases to 8.1.7.1, and then apply the
Net 8 patch.  But I found out there are 79 new patches since the 8.1.7.1
patch set vs. only 15 patches for 8.1.7.0.   I am just not sure that I
should move to 8.1.7.1. Has anybody applied the oracle 8.1.7.1 patch
set? Does it cause more problems then 8.1.7.0?
