If the 9 hours for this procedure set is done when the DB is not needed by users, (as in a 9-5 shop), it can't hurt. If you are trying to get back the DB to the users, a full Cold backup with full export may be a bit much. Try going to a full export daily and incremental backup nightly with a full cold at weekend if you need to get make the DB more available to your users, and not compromise backups too much.
