Veritas Backup Exec and the Oracle Agent is what we use. But i have to agree with Howard. Why GUI on the server ?

You can however run the agent on the Oracle server and the backup software on another server and it will backup the *remote* database onto a tape over the LAN. And you can see it via GUI.

Is that what you want to do ?
