TNS-03506 error - Failed to create address binding

Hi



Has anyone come across this error "Failed to create address binding" on
Solaris 8 running Oracle 8.1.6 64-bit? We have two db servers both
configured pretty much identically - one works fine, one doesn't. I'm just
running tnsping to connect to a listener which starts up fine.



I'm guessing an OS problem (maybe a missing patch) - hoping someone else has
dealt with it.
