I have an 8.1.5 (NT) server and an 8.1.6 (Linux) client. I run jdk1.2.2 on the client and can connect with the Oracle OCI driver. I can also use this driver on an 8.1.6 (Win2k) client with jdk 1.3, but this doesn't work on the Linux client.
